PHD will gear up to drive more of the Porsche media business after it scooped the media planning and buying account in the Middle East and Africa following a four month agency review.
The agency has also picked up the business for the car marque in the increasingly prevalent South Korean region.
This further extends PHD’s relationship with Porsche, following last year’s global media pitch, which saw the network retain 11 markets across the world.

The appointment in the Middle East and Africa will be effective as of 1 November and will see PHD Dubai provide media planning and buying services across the 21 markets the regional official is responsible for.
PHD Dubai has worked with Porsche on its digital business since 2010 when PHD Worldwide won the global account, which includes all the media activity for Porsche in the UK, and is managed out of PHD Germany.
In February this year Porsche revealed a record year of regional sales in 2013 across the Middle East and Africa with figures up more than 26% compared to the previous year. Porsche delivered 11,609 new cars across the region in the January to December period of 2013, up from 9,171 in the previous year.
The United Arab Emirates accounted for more than a quarter of regional sales. In Dubai, sales figures increased by 14% with 1,892 vehicles delivered in 2013, while Abu Dhabi added a total of 1,422 cars marking more than 34 percent year-on-year growth. Kuwait recorded sales 36% up on the year before, increasing 400 to 1,496 new cars delivered.
