Press Release - Khuli Chana to host street dance competition, Money in the Bank
Johannesburg, Wednesday 19 June 2013 – Youth Day may have passed, but youth month just got a little better thanks to Khuli Chana. Khuli Chana in collaboration with the Relapz Cru will be hosting a street dance competition this Saturday, 22 June 2013, at the West End Theatre in Pretoria.
The event comes as a celebration to showcase the vast talent that youth possess in South Africa and to boost morale of the youth that are using their talents to bring positivity to their communities. With a R10 000 Grand Prize to the winning crew, the event aims to support young talent with a financial push towards achieving their goals in making it in the entertainment industry.
“I know what it’s like to need a little bit of financial help to boost your career in the right direction. I just want to help other talented people to keep going and not to give up” expressed Khuli Chana in response to the monetary prize up for grabs.
Money in the Bank, as the event is aptly named, will have guest performances by the likes of Freeze Frame, Vintage, Soweto's Finest and Stunners, just to mention a few. It costs R150 per crew member to enter and tickets will be on sale at the door for the general public at R100 per person.
Khuli Chana snap backs are also up for grabs this week for people who retweet the #MoneyInTheBank event tweets and like the Khuli Chana Facebook page.
