An annual travelling music workshop and festival, Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) was created to nurture and train a select few passionate about music production. Initially to be held in Tokyo, it had to be relocated at the last minute to Madrid
Architect, Langarite-Navarro, was given the task to transform a 20th century warehouse into a modern and temporary space within a short time of five months. The result is a space that combines the raw texture and look of recyclable wood with bold and vivid colours and patterns as well as indoor plants to create a seamless flow between nature and man-made structure admist sound studios and private areas.
This year, the RBMA will be held in New York City where participants will be immersed in an intensive course of lectures with music professionals, practice and opportunity to perform daily to hone their skills as musicians and producers.
Applications are still open here for those interested.
